The winter season is in full swing and whilst everyone may tend to feel a little drab, it is a truly wonderful season… if you don’t suffer from winter blues. Today I am offering you the recipe for my Winter Blues smoothie, so keep reading.

The winter blues also medically known as SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), or winter depression, affects millions of people every year with common symptoms of low energy, fatigue, and lack of motivation.
When the winter blues kick in, your immunity becomes compromised. As I have always said to my patients, body and soul have a direct connection to each other when it comes to wellbeing. If your soul or emotional wellbeing feels depleted, your health may become compromised, and in winter this may encourage or attract the common cold and flu.
But I have a tried and tested Winter Blues smoothie recipe you’ll love
In your smoothie blender add the following ingredients, and simply blitz away.
Then add 1 ml of my immune boost drops, stir and enjoy. Repeat daily.
WINTER BLUES SMOOTHIE
– 1 orange (rind removed)
– 1 mandarin (seedless, rind removed)
– A dash of fresh ginger
– 2 tablespoons organic coconut oil
– 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
– The juice of half a lemon
– Water (to blend to the consistency you desire)
– A squeeze of honey to sweeten (optional)
It’s deliciously tasty, cost effective, you can prepare it in seconds, and it is loaded with immune boosting Vitamin C plus other nutrients that help to fight inflammation.
