Visualisation; the key to changing your health

A picture tells a thousand words, and believe it or not your entire day from the minute you wake up until you close your eyes at night, is a series of mental pictures.

There are the ones you receive and store in your mind, things you see around you, but there are also pictures you create with your mind, and these are your visualisations, they have the power to alter your state of thinking, to radically change your emotions, and even impact the behaviour of the cells in your body.

Visualisations are visual thoughts of something that has happened or the anticipation of what might happen. It is a powerful tool that is naturally available to everyone and can greatly assist with managing dis-ease and greatly improving your health and wellbeing.

Negative or self-limiting thoughts about you or your health, have the capacity to compromise your vibration and can rapidly alter your immune system, with weakness and therefore more dis-ease.

According to science, the mind is so powerful that when it is in a state of visualisation, the body responds in a way that treats the visualisation as if it is real and happening in right there and then. Can imagine then if you are unwell but intentionally visualising your ideal health, what effect this can have on your recovery or turnaround?

Visualisation does not take time; you could do it anywhere, even with your eyes open and it can be a lot of fun.

So how does it work? Follow these simple steps if you are new to this concept.

Allow your self to retreat to a quiet space

If you’re not used to visualising frequently, finding a private retreat in a quiet space in your house will start you off well. Eventually, you’ll be able to visualise everywhere, even on the grocery checkout line.

Set your intention

Where do you want to be? If you are experiencing severe winter blues for example, your intention may be to feel that sunshine and energy showering your entire body; to feel vibrantly alive.

Ready? Start visualising

The key is to feel good. If you get interfering thoughts that are negative or disempowering, simply greet them out as easily as they came through.
